RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests. 

This overseas position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodations or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas tax incentives.

What You Will Do:

  • Operate, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot antennas, pedestals, electronic controls, high power RF transmitters, and a variety of other technical equipment located on Kwajalein and Roi-Namur in the tropical Marshall Islands and the ship, USAV Worthy.
  • Support rocket and missile launches and tests from Kwajalein and the USAV Worthy. 
  • Participate or lead troubleshooting efforts, fault detection, fault isolation, repair, testing and documenting findings. 
  • Document systems and create reports to support findings.
  • Additional responsibilities may include assisting other organizations, including telemetry, communication systems, radios, networks, power, marine and facilities.
  • Periodically perform activities at sea and on towers and elevated structures.
  • Assist in RF safety surveys and measurements. Help analyze the results and report the findings.
  • Contribute to tasks related to property, calibration, secure room, COMSEC, and other duties related to supporting the team and mission. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Associate’s degree or technical school in programming, electronics, RF or related field. Vocational training, apprenticeship, equivalent military or other related experience will be considered in lieu of education.
  • Zero (0) years or more of technical work experience. 
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio). 
  • Good oral and written communication skills with ability to define procedures and technical manuals. 
  • Strong capability to multitask and finish assigned projects before deadlines are due. 
  • Ability to occasionally travel to neighboring islands via helicopter and small plane. 
  • Self-motivated and effective in a team setting and individually. 
  • Efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks. 
  • Ability to climb towers and work up to 100 feet high.
  • Ability to life/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds independently. 
  • Physical ability to work on a ship and go to sea. 
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison, Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Background and understanding in electronics, RF, programming, or other technical field. 
  • Experience working on technical systems such as avionics, communications, radars, software, and control systems.
  • Experienced at building and/or terminating high power or RF cables with BNC, N type, LMR, heliax or similar connectors. 
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, RF power meters, and/or RF network analyzers.
  • Experiencing with soldering, making cables, and replace defective hardware.
  • Exposure to or certifications in Security+, Linux+, Network+.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD.
