Position Overview: 

The Communications Specialist supports NDCP’s day-to-day efforts to communicate with our members (the franchisees of Dunkin’) and employees.

 

Key deliverables include writing member emails and other communication vehicles, designing posters, creating company videos to be used on internal and external platforms, developing user-friendly content for our DC’s, creating digital marketing and social media content, flyers and presentations, and supporting the execution of member, employee and external communications.

 

Reporting directly to the Director, Marketing Communications, this role also performs select duties under the supervision of the Vice President, Corporate Communications.

Note: This is a hybrid role; we are looking for someone based in Atlanta who can work in our Duluth, Georgia office two days each week and collaborate with other team members.

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, day hours with occasional after-hours or weekends as needed on call

Responsibilities

 

What you will do:

 

Member Communications Support:

  • Write and disseminate order portal messaging, emails, SMS text messages and special updates about topics including reroutes, supply alerts, new programs, weather incidents, operational changes, LTOs and more.
  • Represent Communications team in meetings with other departments including Operations, Information Technology, Member Services, Finance and more to develop plan of action for communicating information to members.
  • Create videos for the company to be used in member communications. For example, that can be year-end roundups, interviews with executives to explain new developments to members and more.
  • Develop visually striking digital communications and marketing content including social media posts, emails and minor website updates.
  • Create flyers, posters, printed items and other visual materials as needed using Adobe Creative Suite Tools and Canva.
  • Collaborate with Director, Marketing Communications to ensure member communications are timely, accurate, well-branded, and aligned with organizational messaging and communication standards.

    Internal Communications Support:

     

  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute employee communications related to Human Resources and Information Technology programs, including employee benefits programs, Open Enrollment, system maintenance, software upgrades, and other updates needing communication support.
  • Administer employee surveys by coordinating survey setup, distribution, monitoring participation, and compiling results to support organizational insights and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure employee communications are timely, accurate, well-branded, and aligned with organizational messaging and communication standards.
  • Create employee-focused videos as needed. These could include interviews about key topics, a look at our culture of accountability and more.
  • Design and develop employee-facing communication materials, including flyers, posters, and operational updates.
  •  

    Brand Image:

     

  • Create executive bios and social media content as assigned.
  • Develop external-facing website content and update social media channels.
  • Create well-designed PowerPoint presentations and infographics.
  • Create company videos on selected topics that reach all of our stakeholders, including external audiences.
  •  

    Perform other duties as assigned.

     

     

    Supervision Exercised

    This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    What you bring:

     

     

  • Minimum of three years of communications and/or marketing work experience.
  • Excellent digital marketing and design skills and proficiency in writing/editing.
  • Proven experience creating and editing videos using readily available smart phone and/or production tools that engage target audiences, whether it’s internally, with customers or on social media.
  • Experience with email marketing and/or list management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, liberal arts or a related field is a plus. Will consider strong existing experience related to supply chain communications.
  • Web-based content management expertise and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools and/or Canva.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel, and Power Point) required.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor and ability to represent the Communications department in meetings with Directors and above from other teams throughout NDCP.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to maximize productivity.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diversity of audiences and work associates.

    Other Requirements

  • Note: This is a hybrid role; we are looking for someone based in Atlanta who can work in our Duluth, Georgia office two days each week and collaborate with other team members.
  • This role primarily maintains normal business hours, but flexibility to address emergencies after hours and on weekends is required.
  • Some travel is required, approximately 4 trips per year, US domestic, air, car
