We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lift Technician to join our technical services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, escalators, and related vertical transportation systems. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality service to clients while ensuring equipment reliability and performance.
• Service, inspect, and maintain elevators and escalators in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Assist with electrical and mechanical installations, system adjustments, and equipment alignment.
• Test, commission, and certify the operation of hydraulic and traction elevators as well as escalator systems.
• Perform fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal system performance.
• Upgrade equipment components, controllers, and software systems when required.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and service requests in a timely manner.
• Investigate client-reported issues and work with supervisors to identify and implement effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Carry out additional technical duties related to lift and escalator systems as required.
• 2+ years of experience in lift, escalator, or vertical transportation system maintenance and repair is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs on lift and escalator equipment.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and traction elevator systems.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
